We are a modern butchery obsessed with quality.
At Butcher & Butcher, we exclusively source and sell only the finest Island meats. We are proud to work directly with local Island farmers that share our dedication to quality.
As a small, independent butchery, we also understand the importance of exceptional customer service. We offer customized butchery services for all your needs and delivery to your door.
We’ll bend over backward to help you find the very best meats for your needs. OK, maybe not literally – we’re no gymnasts – but you get the idea!
Whether you’re looking for more familiar meats, such as beef, chicken, and pork, or less common meats, including duck, lamb, and goat, we have the finest selection of Island products on offer.
We also produce many specialty meats in-house, including 4 varieties of bacon, over fifty flavours of sausage, an array of high-quality deli meats, and our very own Jercules Beef Jerky.
For your convenience, Butcher & Butcher is open 7 days a week and located at 47 Beach Grove Road in Charlottetown, PEI (beside the Ellen’s Creek Plaza, if you prefer ‘Island directions’).
Which came first, the butchery or the beef jerky? As it turns out, the jerky came first!
In 2014, our founder, Chris took the bull by the horns and began crafting a new kind of beef jerky for Islanders to enjoy. His mission was to create high-quality, flavourful jerky made exclusively with Island beef and crafted in small batches. Artisan beef jerky, if you will.
Very quickly, Chris realized that Islanders had a big appetite for his Jercules Beef Jerky. As he continued to spread beef jerky happiness across the Island and build relationships with local farmers, he noticed that there were very few butchers serving PEI. And fewer still that exclusively sold Island meat.
A true entrepreneur, Chris couldn’t ignore the clear gap in the Island’s retail meat scene. In early January 2016, Chris found himself opening the doors to his very own butcher shop, Butcher & Butcher, on St. Peter’s Road.
The rest, as they say, is history. January of 2021 marked the butchery’s fifth anniversary and comes on the heels of our recent move to 47 Beach Grove Road.
